The Case for CAMHI:
A Webinar of Speakers on Complimentary and Alternative Medicine settings
Our invited speakers will appeal to health care professionals in each modality, and digital health researchers looking to apply methods to Complementary and Alternative Medicine settings.
Health informatics innovations such as standards, tele-health, decision support, data analytics, simulation, remote monitoring and social media technologies have been applied to Western, Allopathic medicine far more so than in other systems of medicine including Ayurvedic Medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Homeopathy and Naturopathy.
This symposium provides an overview of the opportunities and challenges inherent in Complementary and Alternative Medicine Informatics research. The symposium overviews differences between selected CAM’s and Allopathic medicine that impact on informatics research. Examples of informatics research in TCM and Ayurvedic medicine are drawn on to illustrate concepts advanced.
